As we touched on above, the syn value for potato waffles differ according to the brand you buy from, for example, Asda potato waffles have 3.5 syns per waffle while Birds Eye brands have 2.5 syns per waffle.

All you need is some floury potato's, egg, spray oil, 6 slices of ham and 60g of cheddar, to make the SW waffles, simply grate your potato and mix it with the eggs, heat your waffle iron then add ham and your cheese on top of both of the waffles.

This waffle recipe from Pinch Of Nom serves two people, meaning you will need to have two potatoes, spring onions, reduced-fat cheddar, a tablespoon of smash and some seasoning, you also need low-calorie cooking spray to help the waffle iron stay non-stick.
Once again, heat your waffle iron after microwaving your potato's until soft, once your potatoes are soft you can mash them up with a fork and in all your other ingredients.

These are made with your portion of Healthy Extra B which is what keeps them syn free, and for the recipe, you will need 40g of oats, 2 eggs, some sweetener, Greek yoghurt, cinnamon and vanilla extract.
To make the recipe you will need to blend the oats till they become oat flour and then mix in your beaten eggs and yoghurt bit by bit, add all your sweetness and spices, spray your waffle iron then allow to cook.
Overall, waffles only have around 2.5 syns (depending on the brand), so can be used in your syn allowance for a snack now and then, but to make them syn free, you could always follow the recipes above which give you savoury and sweet options, but don't use up all your syn allowance.
